Abnormal insulin levels can signal insulin resistance, a condition where the body’s cells become less responsive to insulin, often leading to higher blood sugar levels and an increased risk of Type 2 Diabetes. For those with Type 1 Diabetes, an autoimmune condition that destroys insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, external insulin is required to regulate glucose levels.
