Description

NOTE: This test is ONLY AVAILABLE TO AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS.
The IgG, IgA & IgE Combination Food Panel provides valuable insights into food sensitivities and allergies. By measuring three types of antibodies—Immunoglobulin G (IgG), Immunoglobulin A (IgA), and Immunoglobulin E (IgE)—this panel offers a comprehensive evaluation of how the immune system reacts to different foods. IgE is associated with immediate allergic reactions, often causing symptoms like hives, swelling, or gastrointestinal distress shortly after consumption. In contrast, IgG and IgA are linked to delayed immune responses. IgG reflects chronic food sensitivities that may contribute to long-term symptoms such as digestive issues, fatigue, or skin conditions, while elevated IgA levels suggest immune activity in the gastrointestinal tract and mucosal linings, indicating a response to specific food proteins. This detailed analysis helps identify potential dietary triggers contributing to unexplained symptoms or chronic health conditions. By offering a complete overview of food reactions, this panel enables healthcare providers to develop personalised dietary recommendations tailored to each individual’s needs. For those experiencing persistent or unexplained symptoms, consulting a healthcare professional to interpret the test results is crucial in creating an effective management plan that promotes optimal health and overall wellbeing.

Do you have food allergies?
The IgG+IgA+IgE allergy test is a simple test that you can do at your home or office. The test includes testing for 27 common food allergens by checking each food against your body’s IgGIgAIgE antibodies.
How The Allergy Test Works
The IgGIgAIgE food allergy test is measuring the IgE antibodies primarily found in the mucous secretions, this test is ideal for food allergy reactions that occur about immediately after exposure to the food allergen such as within a few minutes to a few hours. The IgGIgAIgE allergy test is regarded as a Type 1 immediate hypersensitivity reaction, the antibodies of IgE have an immediate reaction which are caused by an allergen-specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody that floats around in the blood stream.
IgGIgAIgE food allergies cause your immune system to react abnormally when exposed to one or more specific foods. Some of the common foods that people have an IgGIgAIgE reaction to are things like nuts, milk and eggs. The IgGIgAIgE allergy test picks up on IgGIgAIgE reactions to foods on the below list which are then considered allergens. It is recommended that IgE allergy testing is only performed for infants greater than 18 months of age.
Allergies Vs Intolerance’s & Sensitivities
Some people have allergies to certain foods, this means that when they consume a specific food that they are allergic to, their body’s immune system responds by attacking the substance in order to protect them from the substance. Allergies are always related to an immune system response. On the other hand many people have food intolerance’s, this means that when they consume a food that “disagrees” with them they experience symptoms that often seem like an allergy however the immune system isn’t involved which is difference between an allergy and an intolerance.
Food intolerance’s or food sensitivity’s are your body’s way of saying, “I can’t digest that” or “That food is irritating” or “That food in not compatible with me”. If you believe that you may have a food intolerance you may benefit from a food compatibility program or food intolerance and sensitivity testing.
