Allergies & Intolerances

NOTE:  This test is ONLY AVAILABLE TO AUSTRALIAN RESIDENTS.

The IgG4 General Foods 144 Foods Panel is a comprehensive test designed to assess immune responses to a wide range of foods by measuring Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4) antibodies. IgG4 is a subtype of Immunoglobulin G, and its presence can indicate delayed food sensitivities that may contribute to chronic health issues such as digestive discomfort, skin conditions, headaches, and fatigue. Unlike other IgG subtypes, IgG4 responses are typically associated with immune tolerance making it particularly useful in identifying subtle or long-term sensitivities that may go unnoticed.

This test evaluates 144 common foods, providing an extensive overview of potential food triggers that could be affecting your health. By identifying IgG4-mediated reactions, this panel helps to uncover food sensitivities that might be contributing to symptoms like eczema, fatigue, or inflammation over time. The results allow healthcare providers to offer personalised dietary advice, enabling patients to make informed decisions and avoid foods that could be causing discomfort. Working with a healthcare professional is essential for interpreting the results accurately and developing a tailored dietary plan that improves overall wellbeing and supports better health outcomes.

Do You Have Food Allergies?

The IgG4 allergy test is a simple test that you can do at your home or office.  The test includes testing for 144 common food allergens by checking each food against your body’s IgG4 antibodies.

How The Allergy Test Works

The IgG4 food allergy test is measuring the IgG4 antibodies primarily found in the mucous secretions, this test is ideal for food allergy reactions that cause delayed reactions and are often hard to diagnose because of the time between consumption and the physical reaction. Generally, an IgG4 reaction occurs hours to days after exposure to these food antigens.

The IgG4 food allergy test offers a useful tool for detecting the foods causing allergic reactions. It is recommended that IgG4 allergy testing is only performed for infants greater than 18 months of age.
