Nagalase is a protein made by all cancer cells and viruses. This test is an ideal test for monitoring the effect of therapy of cancer and certain viral infections, including HIV & Autism.

The test measures the activity of alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase (nagalase) in blood.  Nagalase is an extracellular matrix-degrading enzyme that is (increased) secreted by cancerous cells in the process of tumour invasion. Nagalase causes immunodeficiency, preventing the immune system from doing its job. Without an active immune system, cancer and viral infections can grow unchecked.

Many people also carry genetic mutations called FUT2 which limit their ability to make an important cancer killing substance called GcMAF.  The Nagalase test can help to identify those that may be vulnerable to cancer as a result of having these genes mutations.

As an extremely sensitive marker for all cancers and certain viruses, Nagalase testing provides a powerful tool for early detection and treatment.

Common Conditions:

  • Cancer
  • Viral infections
  • HIV
  • Autism
