About The HCG Test
After you purchase the histamine test, you will receive a simple blood test kit in the mail. The test kit comes with:
- An authorized blood specimen order form that you take to your local accredited pathology for collection of your blood (Find a pathology near you here).
- A blood specimen test kit for the pathology to use to collect your blood sample
- Complete instructions for taking the test for you and the pathology
- Note, pathology will charge approximately $33.00 to take your sample
Test results are sent to one of our professional health practitioners within 7 business days for evaluation. Our practitioners contact you with the results and recommendations on any findings via email, mail or phone.
About HCG
HCG is an important hormone especially during pregnancy, this is because HCG is a growth hormone used to help grow a fetus. Low levels of HCG of HCG deficiency in women can cause infertility and in many cases can cause miscarriage and underdevelopment of the fetus. The reason HCG levels are so important is because of it’s role in promoting the process of pregnancy, HCG does this by promoting the luteinizing hormone that triggers ovulation which won’t happen if HCG is too low and or other female hormones are out of balance.
Excessive amounts of HCG can be used to indicate the presence of some cancers, the HCG test can show abnormally high levels which could indicate tumor markers.
